The aim of the CPL(H) course is to train PPL(H) holders to the level of expertise necessary to fly as a professional pilot. Commercial Pilot Licence allows for remuneration for the piloting services provided.

Commercial Pilot Licence CPL(H) programme

The aim of the CPL(H) course is to train PPL(H) holders to the level of expertise necessary to fly as professional pilots. A commercial pilot licence permits the holder to act as a pilot of a helicopter and be paid for his/her work. We provide modular CPL(H) training.

Minimum entry requirements

Age 18+
Medical certificate class 1
PPL(H) license
Flight time 155 hrs

Programme content

Theoretical part consists of 250 hours (40 working days) of CPL(H) theory and covers the following subjects:

  • Air Law
  • Aircraft General Knowledge — Airframe/Systems/Power plant
  • Aircraft General Knowledge — Instrumentation
  • Mass and Balance
  • Performance
  • Flight Planning and Monitoring
  • Human Performance
  • Meteorology
  • General Navigation
  • Radio Navigation
  • Operational Procedures
  • Principles of Flight
  • VFR Communications
  • IFR Communications

Before commencing the flight training the applicant shall have completed 155 hours flight time, including 50 hours as PIC in helicopters of which 10 hours shall be cross-country.

 

Flight training consists of 30 hours.

 

Practical training starts at one of our aerodromes/helipads (EYKA and EYKS) and continues across a number of national airports and aerodromes.
The Training Centre provides a single engine piston helicopter Cabri G2 or a multi engine turbine helicopter AS355NP.

Acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills are proved by passing 14 CAA theory exams and a flight exam (Skill Test).

The Training Centre is located in a walking distance from Kaunas International Airport (EYKA).

Practical training will start at one of our aerodromes/helipads (EYKA and EYKS) and continue across a number of national airports and aerodromes.
